Why is an electric car better for short trips?

To the already known advantages of the electric motor, its mechanical simplicity, zero emissions and high energy efficiency, we must add the comfort with which an electric car moves on short trips around the city, where a combustion engine generally suffers from high consumptions and lacks the time necessary to heat up its cooling circuit or components such as the catalyst and the particulate filter, if you have one.
